Early Life
Hon. Akinola Abiodun Idowu was born and raised in the heart of Orile Agege, Lagos State. Growing up in a close-knit community shaped by trade, diversity, and resilience, he developed an early understanding of the challenges and aspirations of ordinary Nigerians. His family background in community leadership planted the seeds of a deep sense of public duty that would define his career.
Education
He attended Government Secondary School, Orile Agege, where he distinguished himself academically and in student leadership. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Lagos, graduating with honours. He subsequently completed an Executive Programme in Public Administration and Governance at the Lagos Business School and participated in international leadership seminars in Ghana and the United Kingdom.
Politcal Career & Vision
Chairman Idowu's entry into formal politics followed years of grassroots community engagement. He served as a ward councillor, then as a special adviser on community affairs to the Lagos State government. Known for his ability to bridge the gap between government institutions and the people, he has been consistently ranked as the best chairman in Lagos State for his transparent and results-driven approach.
