The Plan
Vision & Pillars
Infrastructure
Orile Agege's road network, drainage systems, and public spaces are the backbone of daily life. Chairman Idowu's infrastructure mandate targets every ward, prioritising roads that flood, streets that are dark, and public grounds that have fallen into disrepair. The goal is a physically transformed community that reflects the dignity of its residents.
"Every road we fix is a family's journey made safer. Every drain we build is a home protected from flooding."
Education
Quality education is non-negotiable. The administration's education agenda encompasses furniture, textbooks, digital literacy centres, and scholarship programmes. Beyond school walls, the LCDA is building a culture of lifelong learning — from youth coding bootcamps to adult literacy initiatives — because an educated community is an empowered one.
"Every child in Orile Agege deserves a desk, a textbook, and a teacher who is paid and present."
Healthcare
Access to healthcare is a right, not a privilege. The administration is upgrading ward-level primary health centres, conducting free medical outreaches, expanding maternal care facilities, and negotiating with the Lagos State Health Service for sustained supply of essential medicines. No resident should travel far or pay beyond their means to stay healthy.
"A healthy Orile Agege is a productive Orile Agege. We will not rest until every ward has a functioning health centre."
Security
Safety underpins everything. The LCDA is partnering with the Nigeria Police, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, and community associations to build a multi-layered security ecosystem. From solar streetlight installation to support for community watch programmes, the goal is an Orile Agege where residents walk freely — day or night.
"Security is not the absence of crime — it is the presence of community. We are building both."
